Anthony Ferrera, CPA, MST
Mr. Ferrera is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master's Degree in Taxation. He has experience in both the public accounting profession and in the software industry. As a partner at Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso he uses his experience to assist clients through their growth with projections and forecasts. He also consults on accounting and software systems, helps in the selection and implementation of pension plans and works with the clients to help sell or otherwise transfer their business interests. He uses his tax experience to work with individuals and business owners to not only prepare their tax returns, but to plan to reduce their tax burden. Additionally, he represents individuals and business owners before the taxing authorities.
Before becoming a partner at Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, Mr. Ferrera first worked for the international accounting firms of Peat Marwick Main & Co. (audit department) and Grant Thornton (tax department). Thereafter, he joined Prentice Hall Professional Software, Inc. as Director of Tax Support to further his tax and computer knowledge. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University and his Master's Degree in Taxation from Long Island University.

Michael J. DeStefano, CPA, CVA
Mr. DeStefano is both a Certified Public Accountant and a CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst). His experience has been in both the public and private accounting sectors. As a partner with Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, he has extensive experience in the areas of business valuations, consulting business owners on organizational structure, accounting systems, operations and financing and advising high net worth individuals on investments and tax planning. He also has helped individuals starting new business with the creation of detailed business plans to help the individuals plan for their business needs. Mr. DeStefano also has a strong background in all areas of individual, business and estate taxation and has successfully represented his clients before the taxing authorities.
Prior to becoming a partner in Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, he was in the private sector serving as Controller/Chief Financial Officer in both the financial and wholesale industries. Before entering the private sector he had worked for the international accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand and a small accounting firm. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Hofstra University.

Philip Caporusso, CPA, MST
Mr.
Caporusso, in addition to being a Certified
Public Accountant,
has received his Master’s Degree in Taxation. His experience in public
accounting has been with both small and large firms. As a partner in the firm
Phil Caporusso provides accounting services for his clients including forensic
audit, audit, review and compilation services. He also prepares corporate,
individual, fiduciary and estate tax returns, and represents his clients before
taxing authorities. Mr. Caporusso consults with his clients on business financing
matters, which include traditional bank-financing, asset based lending, and
equity financing through private placement memorandums. He also performs personal
financial planning, pension and retirement planning for his clients.
Mr. Caporusso started his career working for the international accounting
firm of Ernst & Young. After spending time on the audit staff there, he
transferred to the tax department and became a tax manager. After seven years
at Ernst & Young he left to start the firm of Ferrera, DeStefano &
Caporusso, CPAs in June 1990. Mr. Caporusso received his B.B.A. in Accounting
from Pace University and his Masters Degree in Taxation from Long Island University.
